Leor: Greetings, I’m your host Leor Harrison stepping in for Nathaniel Preston. Today I am sitting down with the current and 4th Secretary of Defense, Gino Wyatt. How are you doing today, Secretary Wyatt?

Secretary Wyatt: Hello! I’m doing great, how are you?

Leor: I’m wonderful as well. It’s a lot to discuss with you today. First I want to start with; how did it feel being nominated for the position of Secretary of Defense?

Secretary Wyatt: Well it was a bit of a shock to the system. I thought that after my second nomination, that would be it — no more. But then a few months after, I was contacted by Vice President Mark West, asking to become Secretary of Defense, as part of his plan to becoming VP at the time he was campaigning. I was excited that I was nominated again, and given a chance to redeem myself and get the Department of Defense back up and running.

Leor: Fantastic. Secretary Wyatt, you spent over a year serving in the Department of Defense under Former SECDEF Jason Anderson, Jacob Anderson, and even Hailey Wyatt. How does it feel being in such a prestigious position as a leader and not a member of personnel?

Secretary Wyatt: Correct. I have been here since the start basically. I know there we’re few others before me, but they have all left and there is only a select few personnel from Former SECDEF Jay’s administration. It does feel good however, to finally be serving the people and leading the department.

Leor: Excellent. Initially, the Department of Defense (under Jason Anderson) had received a great deal of praise from various politicians and citizens for their ideals and faith in the leadership that was being produced. Do you believe you’ll be able to bring the department back to its former glory?

Secretary Wyatt: I understand that it won’t be easy getting it back to that level, however I’m confident that I’ll be able to restore some of what the Department of Defense has under Jay’s leadership.

Leor: If you don’t mind me asking, what are some of your plans to do so?

Secretary Wyatt: Sure. I am currently focusing on constructing The Pentagon, along with some other projects that are classified, until further notice. I have opened the military enlistment program, and hope to gain a few members of personnel. Then moving forward I’d like to begin putting together the Joint Chief’s of Staff.

Leor: I see what you’re saying now. Is there anything we can anticipate from you in the near future as we come to a close?

Secretary Wyatt: I am hoping to release images of the Pentagon soon, once it’s completed.

Leor: That is wonderful. I look forward to seeing your work on the Pentagon. I just want to say thank you so much for allowing me to interview you today. It has been a pleasure to sit and talk with you today. Thank you.

Secretary Wyatt: No worries at all. My pleasure to sit down and give the public a wider insight on who their Secretary of Defense is.

Leor: Thank you all for reading, have a great day.
