Farhan Ahsan, the Senate Majority Leader, proposed the Dual Citizenship Act of 2021 just hours ago. The bill proposes resurrecting the Department of State of the Bloxburg United States of America.

Let’s take a look at the Department of State’s track record. There have been two prior Secretaries of State, one of whom (Alora Cromwell) was heavily criticized by B.U.S.A citizens and staff. The BUSA Bulletin was unable to obtain a comment from Cromwell when requested for one. Although Alora Cromwell would not comment on the matter, Vice President Mark West is in favor of the bill stating:

Senator Ahsan’s Dual Citizenship Bill is great for our country, we’re looking forward to seeing it pass in the House of Representatives. I couldn’t be more proud of the work that was put into this and HUGE credits go out to Farhan. I see this as a great success to diplomacy and I’m hoping the House of Representatives see it that way as well.

Two new classes will be created as a result of the act. “Primary Citizens” and “Secondary Citizens” are two different classes of citizens. Citizens who are currently residing in BUSA and do not reside in any other nation will be considered primary citizens. People who hold a main residency or citizenship outside of B.U.S.A and have used the dual citizenship program to get citizenship in BUSA will be considered secondary citizens. Another significant change that will be implemented, is that the Dual Citizenship Program will be completely split by the new Department of State and the United States Immigration and Citizenship Services. The bill passed the senate by a unanimous vote of 3–0–0.
